Use a piece of string, mark where it meets, then lay it flat against a ruler.
Our caps are adjustable at the back, so most people are covered by the stated range. If your measurement sits right at the upper edge of a model's range, go for a model whose range extends further.
Depth is the height of the crown from the brim to the top — a deeper crown sits lower on the head. Visor length is how far the brim extends forward.
Every model with a velcro front panel takes any BlackBörk patch, so sizing never limits which design you can wear.

This acrylic skully from BlackBork is thick, warm and stylish. It looks and fits like I purchased it from a high-end boutique. I was quite pleased with the quality of this piece. Most hats with designs on them feel uncomfortable on my forehead, but this doesn't bother me at all. The beanie comes with two interchangeable patches. They are easy to switch out and stay on until I take them off. A nice quality drawstring backpack is also included.
This is such a cool beanie! It's very nice and I love the color and the patches. The color is as pictured in the listing. The beanie looks to be of great quality. It fits great and it's comfortably warm. I am looking forward to the winter to wear this. It comes with several extras like the bag, patches and sticker, which make it fun.
Great fit and awesome design! My favorite thing about this beanie is the interchangeable Velcro patches. The beanie arrived with two patch options, both designed really well. But I also had an American flag patch for a while so I attached that instead and it's just so awesome to have a place to attach it to and wear proudly. Okay this beanie is awesome. First of all, it comes inside of a nice drawstring backpack, which was already a huge plus. We'll start with comfort and warmth, which are both 5 stars. The material is soft and feels super quality and durable. It fits on both me and my husband. Then the interchangeable patch is such a cool feature, I don't think I've ever seen something like that before on a beanie.
The swappable patch is a better idea than I expected it to be. There's a hook-and-loop pad on the front and the patches snap on and off in about a second, so one hat covers a few moods. The catch is that the patch backing sits slightly proud of the knit, so with no patch on there's an obvious blank pad on the front. This is not a hat you wear plain, it's a hat you wear with something on it. The acrylic is soft with no itch at all against a bare forehead, which is where cheap acrylic gives itself away.…
I was unfamiliar with the brand, but decided to take a stab at the hat because last winter's hats were on their last legs. Up front: very plush hat. Not used to hats being this thick, and it's dual layered. Slipping it on, every member of my family went "oooh!" to the point I had to say "You are NOT stealing my new hat!" I also have a fairly large noggin (hat size 7 3/4), so finding a hat that fits me well is rare. This thing still has a bit of stretch to it.
I ordered this beanie for my grandson who wears beanies all winter. The interchangeable patch feature is such a unique touch and was actually the deciding factor for my purchase. I ordered the black one, not because I was set on black but because I liked the patch on that color best. It would be nice if BlackBork offered an option to pick the color of the beanie and patch separately. I went to the store to purchase more patches and although they are listed, all say "currently unavailable". That was a disappointment.…
This beanie is very cool. The acrylic knit is genuinely soft - that smooth, non-itchy acrylic that feels good right against the skin. It has that breathable warmth where it keeps you comfortable in cold weather but doesn't make you overheat indoors. The ribbed knit has a nice stretch to it, and the relaxed fit sits well whether you wear it slouchy or cuffed. The patch area is cleanly stitched and the hook-and-loop backing is thin enough that the patches sit flat instead of bulging.
